You've Got the Time
On August 27th, we’re planning on listening through the New Testament in forty days as a church. This is a program called “You’ve Got the Time” spear-headed by Hosanna Faith Comes by Hearing.

From August 27th to October 5th, we would like to invite you and your family to listen to the entire New Testament. This is a forty day window and can be achieved in just 28 minutes a day.
The Lord says in Isaiah 55:9-11 says,
"As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts. As the rain and the snow come down from heaven, and do not return to it without watering the earth and making it bud and flourish, so that it yields seed for the sewer and bread for the eater, so is my word that goes out from my mouth: It will not return to me empty, but will accomplish what I desire and achieve the purpose for which I sent it."
I don't know about you, but I want the Lord's desired work to be accomplished in my life and my current pattern of Sunday sermon and then maybe dabbling in the Word the rest of the week is not the pace that I nor God desires. Many of us have a habit of studying the Word or at least exposing ourselves to it on a regular basis. Many more of us – if we represent the average church in America – do not. Hence: "You’ve Got the Time".
It's a program spear-headed by Hosanna – Faith Comes by Hearing, a ministry whose mission it is to get the spoken Word to every tribe and nation under the sun. We’ve attempted it before but not with the fidelity that we’d like. So here’s how we’re going to do it this time:

Over the next couple of weeks we will continue to announce this upcoming church-wide initiative. Next week we will actually do a practice session where we all listen to a five to ten minute clip and answer three questions. The week after that we’ll actually start passing out listening CD’s for those of you who want to get a head start.
Every day each of us will listen, whether in the car on the way to work, or during dinner with the family, or with the kids right before we go to bed.
Once a week we'd like groups of people to meet in homes and discuss what God's doing in your life by a more constant exposure to the Word. Follow the format we exemplified during services if you wish.
There's a sign up sheet in the back table. The Frantz's, Simons', Huguenin's, Cañada's, and Cook's are hosting the evenings on different nights of the week. There will be five meetings total and then NOW. The meetings will be starting on the week of August 30th. This is a great opportunity to reach out to people in your circle of influence who’ve never heard what the bible has to say.
At the end of the forty days – actually on day forty-one – we’ll be having our regularly scheduled NOW, but will be opening it up for testimonies.
